N Pants are a side snapping modern cloth nappy/diaper that is designed to be pulled up and down. It can be used at night for independent toddlers who no longer need a dedicated night nappy, or for wriggly babies who want roll, crawl, stand or run away during nappy changes. 
 
There are options for a leading edge or sham pocket opening, and either stretch wings using a lycra based fabric, or an entirely waterproof outer with a little less stretch. 
 
Sizing - approximately fits from 7 - 20kg (15 - 44lb). If your child is a slim build, you may find these will fit beyond 20kgs. The sizing is adjustable through the snaps on the front of the nappy, the ‘rise snaps’. You have the option of having 2 or 3 columns of rise snaps depending on your preference. If your child is wider through the hips, make the wing extenders (included in the pattern download) to get a better fit.
 
If you are after a trimmer fitting option, then ‘Pull Ups’ may be more suitable, they’re also a little easier to pull up and down. If you are wanting to toilet train, check out 'D Pants'.
 
The entire pattern can be made with just a sewing machine. An overlocker is advisable for making the inserts, but a sewing machine can be substituted. You will also require a snap press or pliers and snaps.
